Otolaryngologists, or more commonly referred to as ENT physicians, are trained in the medical and surgical treatment of patients with diseases and disorders of the ears, nose, throat (ENT), and head and neck. Otolaryngologists are trained to evaluate and treat both children and adults. Common problems encountered by an otolaryngologist include:
